Dr Steve Mockford has worked in the Mobile Comms industry since the early days of TACS/NMT/GSM roll-out. He was responsible for the initial planning and design of new networks with UK mobile operators such as Cellnet and Orange. He has provided design, test, optimisation engineering consulting services with companies such as MTN, Smartone, Eplus and Netcom. He was the founder and Managing Director of Aircom International, delivering industry leading radio network planning solutions to both Ericsson and Nokia.
In 2007, he established Metricell and has managed company OSS Cloud project developments with BT EE, Zain, Telecom Italia and MBNL. He has a PhD, from the University of Liverpool, for his mobile radio research on antenna diversity systems for rural areas.
